Under the aegis of the REMONDIS Group, REMEX operates over 60 sites contributing to an impressive material flow balance. In its rubble treatment centres, the company produces high quality recycled building materials under the mark REMEXIT. Moreover, the advanced treatment of household waste incineration (MIOM) chewers allows to generate controlled secondary building materials, marketed under the brand name GRANOVA. REMEX also values lOther precious metalsby reintegrating them into the material cycle after specific sorting, processing and concentration processes.
As a recycling company, REMEX organizes the entire mineral cycle by treating mineral waste such as land, rubble and industrial by-products and making them reusable as quality secondary building materials. REMEX has been making an important contribution to resource protection for over four decades.
Key figures for 2023
- Gravat treatment: 2,250,000 t/y
- Ashes and chewers from the incineration of household waste: 2 800 000 t/y
- Land and other mineral waste: 3,500,000 t/y
- Dust, chewers, ash from industrial processes: 1 600 000 t/y
- Total strength: 950

Environmental benefits
In a resolutely sustainable development approach, REMEX focuses its actions on three fundamental pillars:
-
Climate protection : By promoting the reuse of recycled materials, REMEX helps reduce CO2 emissions associated with the extraction and transformation of natural resources.
-
Landscape protection : The recovery of mineral waste reduces the exploitation of quarries and natural resources, thereby preserving ecosystems and reducing the artificialisation of soils.
-
Optimization of landfill rates Through advanced sorting and recovery processes, REMEX maximizes the recycling of mineral waste and limits the use of landfill.
The environmental contribution made by REMEX through its activities can be measured, particularly in the production of alternative materials, metal recovery and decontamination of sites and soils.
