Our partners

We work closely with our partners to promote industrial alternative materials for an efficient and environmentally friendly industry.

The ecosystem created by AFOCO is a real catalyst for innovation and decarbonisation of the building industry through the development of industrial alternative materials.

EUROSLAG is the federation of associations bringing together, in the various European countries, the companies concerned at all levels by the manufacture and use of steel dairy.

+ Missions

Euroslag is involved in the promotion of dairy as a product, establishes information and research networks in common, and facilitates interactions with authorities and government administrations.

+ Steel dairy

Steel dairy products are co-products of the manufacture of iron and steel. They result from the conversion of ore to cast iron, steel cast iron, metal melted in electric furnaces or subsequent processing on crude steel. European plants produce about 45 million tonnes of steel dairy annually. Steel dairy is traditionally used as aggregates, as well as in the composition of cements used in building and public works, as well as in other areas such as the amendment of agricultural land.

The National Slag Association, created in 1918 in the United States, aims to promote the use of blast furnace and steel plants.

+ Missions

The National Slag Association plays an active role in the promotion of blast furnace and steel dairy by establishing collaborative information and research networks and facilitating exchanges with authorities and government administrations.

+ Crystallized blast furnace letters

The blast furnace crystallized slag is called « All purpose aggregate », i.e. « for all uses », as it can be used in all types of construction either as a normal aggregate or as a light aggregate when expanded. The GBFS (Granulated Blast Furnace Slag) is a slag sand obtained by abrupt cooling by water or air in granulation or pelleting plants. After grinding, it is used primarily as a constituent of cements and hydraulic road binders.

Association governed by the Law of 1901 and a member of the French Federation of Steel, the Technical and Dairy Promotion Centre (CTPL) represents all French players in the sector « Steel dairy », whether from blast furnaces or steel plants. It also welcomes, as associate members, companies active and recognised in the processing, recovery and use of steel dairy.

+ Missions

The core tasks of the NPTC are:
• Defend and promote all steel dairy products and develop their use,
• He is a founder of the profession, mutualising and piloting the research efforts and regulatory work needed to ensure the geotechnical and environmental quality of steel dairy and to develop new markets.

Together, we can create a sustainable future and promote responsible innovation.
